Special heaters designed for power plants are used in the area of the chute funnels of electro-filters. Standard heating elements of this type are:
- Suspension insulator heater (otherwise known as insulator tube heater or ring heater)
- Spiral heating element (primary) for rotary insulators
- Tubular heating element (additional) for rotary insulators
- Flow heater
- Chute heater
- Isocastene heater
- Insulator cover tubular heater
Electrofilter chute funnel heater
Heating the ends of the electrofilter chute funnels is designed to prevent to much temperature drop of the dust collected in the funnels. Dust with too low temperature deposited in the funnels tends to clump and hang on the funnel walls, which consequently hinders its resistance to be discharged through the ash removal system. Heating of the funnel end of the electrofilter is implemented by single-sided heaters with temperature measurement points.
The chute funnel heating system manufactured by TERMORAD allows easy replacement of heating elements without disassembling the thermal insulation of the funnel. Each funnel is equipped with a Pt-100 type temperature sensor, which measures the temperature of the funnel walls and regulates the work of the heaters. Heating system of end of chute funnels, combined with the appropriate angle of the funnels, brings the danger of ash blockage to a minimum.
